Visit Rebekah's Page to get updates, read messages and send messages to Rebekah and her family through comments. This is a public "diary" of a family whose little girl started a battle with inoperable cancer in April 2005. In December 2007 our house burned down. And in September 2009 Mommy was diagnosed with a terminal disease (a genetic form of ALS) that took her to Heaven in July, 2011, leaving Daddy and two young girls to make it on their own. Over several years of ups and downs, you will get into our hearts, minds and souls as we share joys and sorrows. It can sometimes be very difficult to read. We hope it is also uplifting. Please find joy in what you read here.

Still praying...

Psalm 121 paraphrased

Rebekah and her family look up to the mountains- does their help come from there? Their help comes from the Lord, who made the heavens and the earth! He will not let you stumble and fall; the one who watches over you will not sleep. Indeed, he who watches over Rebekah and her family never tires and never sleeps. The Lord himself watches over you! The Lord stands beside you as your protective shade. The sun will not hurt you by day, nor the moon at night. The Lord keeps you from all evil and preserves your life. The Lord keeps watch over your family as you come and go, both now and forever.

Dear Rebekah,
I pray for you at school even during teaching classes when students named Rebekah or Sarah remind me of you. Yeah, I am at a public school in OH, but God knows my heart and mind are silently praying for you in amongst teaching. I know that your Grandma M and Grandma A will be just the same way and more when they're at school, too. Praying for you to be out of any pain and breathing normally and cancer-free!!!You are loved by so many....cousin Jodi

Alison sent me over to let me realize that my petty little problem is nothing in comparison. I will keep track and pray for you daily. My heart goes out......

i pray that mommy and daddy would find a moment of peace, a moment to hold each other, a moment to pray together, and a moment to breathe today.
