This is a public "diary" of a family whose little girl started a battle with inoperable cancer in April 2005. In December 2007 our house burned down. And in September 2009 Mommy was diagnosed with a terminal disease (a genetic form of ALS) that took her to Heaven in July, 2011, leaving Daddy and two young girls to make it on their own. Over several years of ups and downs, you will get into our hearts, minds and souls as we share joys and sorrows. It can sometimes be very difficult to read. We hope it is also uplifting. Tuesday Morning - A Quick Update
A quick morning update although there was nothing quick about this morning coming. Both of the girls were up just about all night. Daddy got very little sleep and mommy less. Sarah is at the worst part of a cold and Rebekah was having lots of pain in her top (mouth) and her bottom as she was trying real hard to pass another very hard and large stool. Basically we felt like a pharmacy and hospital room all in one dispensing drugs and taking care of patients, hand holding, cleaning up, etc. all night long. Pray for rest and relaxation.

We're praying for you here in Pennsylvania! ...Praying for a wonderfully, refreshing, restful time on vacation....praying that Rebekah's system gets stabilized...praying for Dora tolerance! (ha!)...and praying that Sarah doesn't throw her binky on the way home! (Olivia had a "binky clip" which clipped her binky right to her clothes --best invention in the world!).
May the Lord bless you, strengthen you, give you his peace, renew and refresh you as you spend time together as a family.
