Visit Rebekah's Page to get updates, read messages and send messages to Rebekah and her family through comments. This is a public "diary" of a family whose little girl started a battle with inoperable cancer in April 2005. In December 2007 our house burned down. And in September 2009 Mommy was diagnosed with a terminal disease (a genetic form of ALS) that took her to Heaven in July, 2011, leaving Daddy and two young girls to make it on their own. Over several years of ups and downs, you will get into our hearts, minds and souls as we share joys and sorrows. It can sometimes be very difficult to read. We hope it is also uplifting. Please find joy in what you read here.

Rebekah and Maggie

Rebekah still continues to be sick to her stomach, but reducing the flow of her feeding and diluting the “food” seems to have helped a bit.  We are SO trying to avoid a trip back to the hospital.

Maggie continues to be so much on our hearts.  PLEASE continue to lift her family up in prayer.  I cannot say it better than her most recent journal entry from yesterday, Friday:
Today was a very long day in the life of Maggie. It started with a trip to the clinic at Emanuel where she received blood platelettes and red blood cells(which give her energy!). Maggie was happy to see Dr. Norwood and Dr. Olsen. Her blood tests revealed that her leukemia is spreading rapidly. This was not good news. After discussion with Maggie's doctor, Beth and Rick decided to continue with their plans for Disneyland next week. Maggie will visit the hospital next Tuesday where she will receive blood, fluids, etc. to help pump up her energy level for the big trip.

We keep praying for both Maggie and Rebekah. Although we want our will we know that the Lord's will is what matters. It saddens us to know that Maggie is running out of time on this earth. We keep trying to remember that Maggie and Rebekah will be cured. Our prayers will be answered one way or another both will be all better. Just like the song "Little" says. This thought keeps us going as we continue to read the updates about both precious angels. Thank youo again for sending your family and friends to pray for Maggie. I will make sure to ask them to say extra prayers for you too. You are on our hearts, in our thoughts and in our prayers daily. Stay strong and keep on fighting. Love, Jim, Connie, Angelica and Melysa Mae Juengel

Father, wrap Your arms around Rebekah, Maggie and their families. I know that you hear their hearts' cry before the words are even formed on their lips. Meet their every need. In Jesus' Name, Amen

Praying continually,

Steve says "With you in prayer". Ya buddy, you COULD have been with us in prayer, but instead you just drove on by without stopping to pray or say hi. Thanks!

Praying daily for good days for Rebekah and specifically today for her stomcah to feel better and for her to keep her food down. We're praying that you don't have to go back to the hospital.

We also prayed for Maggie and left her a message in her Guest Book.

We'll continue to keep Rebekah and Maggie in our thoughts and prayers.

I'm continuing to pray many time a day for Rebekah that this dreaded illness will come to an end and that she will be renewed to perfect health and that mommy and daddy will be able to be strong through it all. God is holding you in the hollow of His hand. Lean on Him. Also praying for Maggie. Blessings to you all. Leanne

When I asked God to give me a more prayerful nature, I had no idea what I was in store for. Praying for your family has been a blessing in my life. I have added Maggie to my prayers and I keep checking for updates on both girls. Please know that I am here, praying. Even if I don't leave a comment, I am praying every single day

Be glorified, Oh Lord. Praise you for all the miracles you have already done. Thank you for your grace and peace. It says in your word, that "a merry heart doeth good like a medicine", well Lord. FILL 'EM UP! Fill them with the Joy of Jesus and healthy laughter that only you can provide. AMEN.
