This is a public "diary" of a family whose little girl started a battle with inoperable cancer in April 2005. In December 2007 our house burned down. And in September 2009 Mommy was diagnosed with a terminal disease (a genetic form of ALS) that took her to Heaven in July, 2011, leaving Daddy and two young girls to make it on their own. Over several years of ups and downs, you will get into our hearts, minds and souls as we share joys and sorrows. It can sometimes be very difficult to read. We hope it is also uplifting. Please find joy in what you read here.

3am Update

3am – just to accent the time.  Rebekah is not tolerating her feedings very well.  We started to see some concerns about 8 last night and took her off the feedings for a few hours and thought she was doing better and reconnected her before going to bed.

Now we have seen what her “food” looks like after we’ve put it into her tummy.  Funny thing is that it doesn’t look that much different.  The joys of eating through a tube.  Rebekah threw up most of everything she had taken in since we re-started the pump and we are up now doing another load of laundry.

Mommy holding Rebekah, Daddy changing sheets.  We have the feeling this might become routine – let’s hope not.

Heavenly Father, Rebekah needs nutrition to get stronger. Please calm down her tummy. The excitement from being home is probably close to overwhelming for the entire family, so please give them hope, and more smiles, and such rest for mommy and daddy. I pray for healing for Rebekah.

In Jesus' Name, Amen.
