This is a public "diary" of a family whose little girl started a battle with inoperable cancer in April 2005. In December 2007 our house burned down. And in September 2009 Mommy was diagnosed with a terminal disease (a genetic form of ALS) that took her to Heaven in July, 2011, leaving Daddy and two young girls to make it on their own. Over several years of ups and downs, you will get into our hearts, minds and souls as we share joys and sorrows. It can sometimes be very difficult to read. We hope it is also uplifting. Please find joy in what you read here.

More of the Same

Rebekah continues to plateau this week – which is a good thing.  She had an upset tummy this morning and threw up a bit but then she went for a wagon ride with mommy and has been sleeping for a few hours since then.  She has finished her 24 hour kidney function test and they are removing the catheter shortly.  At least some of the tubes are going away.

Although Rebekah is doing well, mommy and daddy are feeling a bit cooped up.  It is definitely tough being away from home and the office.

Josh is down the hall from us and mommy got to see Maggie and her mom downstairs eating some food in the cafeteria. Its good to see some familiar faces but bad to be seeing them here.

I am so glad to read how REbekah is fairing so well, even though she is having such tough treatment, she is such an inspiration to so many..as are you and mommy! I am still reading and praying and thinking of you all. Helen.
