A Transfusion and Now Home
Rebekah and mommy just got home - almost 12 hours from when they left this morning. Rebekah's blood counts were pretty bad and she needed a transfusion. They have also ordered up the first set of equipment for providing her some nourishment through her central line. More about that later.
This was just taken of Rebekah. I just sent it to a friend of ours who said it was sad to see how sick she looks. Quite a different perspective from mommy and daddy who actually are thinking how great she looks right now, she is actually pinked up quite a bit after her transfusion and, at least to us and in comparison, looking quite spunky.
Thank you so much for your prayers - they have been quite uplifting today and we have really needed them. We have also been SO lifted up through some wonderful groceries from LaDonna and Royal Stearns and from some good news from the financial department at the hospital. It is really amazing to us how little tiny things can pick you up or let you down - we are told that means you are pretty close to the edge. If so, I guess we are sitting on it!

Little Rebekah looks a little worse for wear at the moment, a few bangs and bumps and a pink "sunburn". Hang in there momma and daddy, God's watching over your little girl.
I hope you find encouragement in this comment, but even though she looks tired, I think she looks much better than she did in previous photos. She seems to be a strong little girl. Hope Mommy is doing well.

Rebekah even though tired, has more color then she did this weekend. Sweet Child of God. Hang in there Mommy and Daddy God is walking beside you each step of the way. Always in our prayers.
Steve and I are praying, too. She's looks so sweet in that picture. We'll be praying for all of you.

On the days I drive to the coast I spend that drive time praying for your family. In the mornings, noon and night, I just pray for you guys. Since the beginning of your post when sporre mentioned Rebekah it has been non-stop. God counts your tears and knows your worries.

Thanks To Anonymous for praying on the way to the coast. Quite appropriate since you probably drive by within 300 feet of our house when you do so! At Mile Post 48 on Hwy 26 you could hit our house with a stones throw.
